A story about a duck

Once upon a time, a momma duck was about to lay her eggs. She found a perfect spot in the Schultz's neighbor's flower bed, and there laid 8 eggs. Perfect, she thought. The wild animals will never find me here. Little did she know that wild humans roamed the area. They looked at her all day, every day giving her little to no privacy. They even shooed her away sometimes so they could mess with the black stick next to her nest (sprinklers). Momma duck was so scared of the humans, but she was so brave and never left her nest.. EVER!! Not even to eat. Sometimes if they got to close, she would growl at them. The humans felt bad for her, and tried to throw her some bread to eat, but she boldly refused! Momma duck didn't like the humans at all, and planned to vacate her nest as soon as her babies were born. And after approximately 28 days...she did. Without the friendly Schultz family getting to see her babies.... :(

Cancun, Mexico! Another vacation come and gone! (why does that always happen so fast?!) We saw the Myan ruins at Chichen Itza below. It's amazing what they were able to build hundreds of years ago. I was so glad Brad could speak spanish on this trip! Our whole 2hr bus ride to the ruins was almost all in spanish, so I was glad Brad could translate some of it for me! The beach was amazing... best beach I've ever been to. I would compare the sand to flour, it was so soft! We're sad it's over already, but it was a great way to kick off our summer!

Just busy.. not much time for getting on the computer. I've heard that pictures say a thousand words, so here's a thousand pictures (and 5hrs worth of blogging) to tell the past happenings of our life:

June 11th- Happy 2 years to my honey and me! i love you!

we signed up for the Ragnar Relay this year!
i was the only provider of estrogen in our van, lots of testosterone to keep up with over 188 miles!

our big trip this year was HAWAII.. "the land where palm trees sway"
3 words: it was amazing.

i know this looks like a cancerous tumor, but i assure you it isn't. i thought i could stand to get a little hawaiian sun, but wanted to protect my moles from the damaging rays, and this was the result.. sunscreen apparently works when applied! (so does aloe vera with lidocaine- it's amazing!)

NOT.. now you have to keep it all alive. we've been learning a lot this summer. the flowers you see below were once real, thriving, beautiful flowers.. they just no longer exist. DIE to the grasshoppers, sun, and non-working sprinklers.. whichever of you killed my flowers!

i had a birthday, and turned 22

my dad and hannah.. the makers of the cake. (i'll just tell you what is is and save you the trouble of figuring it out) it's supposed to be the hawaiian islands. my dad prides himself in making the most ridiculous looking cakes of something that applies to the birthday person. they were awesome when i was little.. now, we just laugh!

Blood and Stuff!

Today I passed off my blood draws for school!

I've been practicing on fellow students at school for a few weeks now, and today I went to the Davis Hospital for the pass off.

I had to do 10 sucessful draws.. it was fun. I had a girl's arm start squirting blood into the air while I was drawing, kinda wierd, but other than that it all went pretty good and now I'm done!

So if anyone randomley wants their blood drawn, let me know... I'm certified:)

1. I hate having my toenails painted.

I don't know if I'm just not used to it or what, but I see other girl's cute toenails, and decide to try it, and this is about as far as I get before I decide to take it off!
and in the rare event when the polish stays on.. I hate it every day until the paint starts peeling off, then it's ok! am I just wierd?

2. I make A"ward" winning pies.

We had a pie contest in our ward, and guess who won "best pie overall".. me! Wierd huh! who'da thunk that I could bake?! Here's the beauty right here.. it's called Possum Pie! Mmmmmm:)

My husband is the best! I was driving home from work one night talking to Brad on the phone and told him I was going to stop by the store and get some stuff for dinner.. he casually told me to just come home and we would figure something else out. I came home to this! He had cooked up some macaroni & cheese and some chicken nuggets.. with candles on the side! It was so dang cute! He was so proud, and we had a nice romantic dinner in the living room! I love my husband!

Labor Day weekend we went camping up in the Uintahs with some friends!

Jacob is now off to Panama for 2 years serving his mission! the drop-off is pretty brutal now- right at the curb, but i'd rather do that than have to sit balling through a whole presentation!

when we finally get to move to our new house! as much as our neighbors seem to be nice people.. i just don't enjoy hearing them coughing, sneezing (although one of our neighbors sounds like a dog when he sneezes-it's pretty funny), yelling, music, bathing, going to the bathroom!
the other night i got home late, and was brushing my teeth. all of the sudden i hear frantic running upstairs, and the lovely sound of vomit! luckily i have a strong stomach, but when brushing your teeth... gross! i felt bad enough for the guy for the one incident, but this happend 5 times within 5 minutes! someone must have been sick!!! then i worried that whatever he had would travel down the vents so i hurried and went to bed! i'll be so glad when the walls, floor, and cieling belong to just us!

1 Year... and almost 2 months ago...

We've hit our one year anniversary!! And if it's like they say "first year is the hardest" then I'm in for a treat!! Being married has been the biggest blessing of my life and I am so so happy to be married forever to my best friend! I love you!

We went and did sealings in the Logan temple.. it was awesome and so fun to go back to where we were married!

And also in "memory" of our wedding day we ate at the bluebird restaurant where we had our wedding luncheon! We got free dessert for our anniversary!

Just as a side note, I've added some pictures of when my brother Jacob went through he temple! He's leaving on August 5th for his mission to Panama City, Panama!

Our summer trip this year was to Southern California! Our plans: the beach.

I found my new favorite restaurant: Macianos! PASTA PASTA PASTA!!! and lots of it! They serve huge portions.. the waiter said he would give us free dessert if Brad finished his lasagna.. almost made it, but unfortunately Brad has good self-control (unlike myself) and decided it wasn't worth getting sick over. (WARNING: food in pictures are larger than they appear!)
We went to the WILD ANIMAL PARK! can't you see how excited we are?! (ps. if anyone is planning on going... it's pretty much just like the zoo, but in bigger spaces which = more walking!)

A highlight of the trip was Brad's cousin Darbie's wedding! It was fun to meet more family!

Ok, you probably can't tell what this picture is, but it's quite a funny story (at least I think it's funny..) so Brad and I were at the pool one day, and noticed a line of ants around the edge of the pool... marching in perfectly straight lines and cruising like there's no tomorrow! If anyone has ever seen Disney's Bug's Life, you'll remember the part where the ants are marching and a leaf falls in the line and the ants are stopped in their tracks, not knowing where to go... same story here. We would splash water right through the middle of the line and watch and laugh at the ant "traffic jam"! It was hilarious!

We ate dinner pretty much every night with family,but one night Brad and I wanted to have a nice "romantic" dinner together. We had seen a restaurant on the end of a pier (above) and decided to go there thinking that would be romantic with the sun setting and all... actually not! Along the whole pier were fishermen fishing! The hand rail was covered in worm guts and hooks and the whole place reeked of fish! So we just stayed inside the restaurant and ate our food and decided we would save sunset watching for the beach!

We had a fun time at the beach trying to boogie board on cheap boogie boards we bought at a Kmart (note: they don't work very well unless you get the really expensive kind....figures!) So we just played in the sand and the waves!

it all started ...
when rates went down and our rent went up... hmmmmm
pay the same for a house and have our money actually going somewhere,
or pay rent and have it go nowhere!!! Tough choice...
we decided to look for a house!!!
Is there something wrong with our economy when the cheapest choice is to build a new house??
I'm ok with it!
...and that's how it all started!!

...and finally put up the house!! It's a one-level small little home, but like I said before- perfect! It's a 3 bed/2 bath and the neighborhood is so nice and young! (compared to our neighborhood now) We'll be moving in around mid-September!! I'll keep some pics posted!

Crazy?...I was crazy once!

I've been a runner since jr. high, and have run tons and tons of 5k's. However, I have never raced anything higher than that! So this year I signed up for the "Winter Racing Circuit" that my work (Striders) puts on every winter. It starts in February and consists of a series of races that builds you up just in time for the Ogden Marathon: 5k, 10k, 10 miler, half-marathon, and a 30k (18.5 miles)!!!! Crazy! I only planned to go up to the ten miler (maybe) and then see how I felt for the half-marathon... It was an amazing thing!
Brad was such a trooper.. he would wake up at 5am with me on Saturday mornings to drive me to the races so I wouldn't be so nervous! After finishing the first 5k I turned to Brad, panting and said there was no way I could do more than that! He just smiled and patted my back... 2 weeks later I finished my first 10k (6.2 miles) and same thing, "I don't think I can do any more"... 2 weeks later I was finishing the 10 miler! Then came my first half... I was so excited and so nervous! It was up in the valley where my parents live so that made it fun to run past them! I did better than I thought- I could barely walk after- but also better than I thought! The last race was the 30k.. I don't know even to this day how I did it!! It was so insane and crazy and awesome feeling to be able to finish! It wasn't record time in the least, but it was one of the biggest accomplishments of my life! Anyway, ya I know I'm crazy, but you have to be to be a runner! There's just something about it I love.. it's addicting! I plan on running at least one full marathon in my lifetime... Anyway, check out the pictures below!

The Best Day Ever~

We were married June 11, 2008~ the best day ever! We were married in the Logan Temple, and the day was perfect! I've posted a lot of pictures, and I'm not going to write a lot, but it was the best day of my life! I am so so so happy to be married to the dearest and closest person to me, and best of all, my best friend! I am so happy to be spending eternity with you! I love you Brad!

We're Engaged!! Finally! I had guessed it was coming around Christmas time, but Brad kept a good secret. I had no idea he had the ring, and that he had talked to my parents! So here's the story: Christmas morning, Brad came up to my parents house and opened presents with us. Afterwards, he casually told me he had another present for me, and it was hanging on the tree.. he told me to look and find 2 ornaments he had hidden. I looked and looked and finally found a girl frog (see below). I didn't even notice she was wearing a bridal veil! :P Then I found the boy frog (see below) and he had my ring tied behind his back! My mouth dropped open and I turned back around to see Brad on his knees! It was so cute and we got it all on film!

Brad gradutated from USU with his Master's in Accounting! Never getting anything but an A! Way to go Brad! You amaze me at how well you do in everything!

Here's a picture of the final event- jousting! You had to stand on a wooden board with your partner and joust with these life guard float things to try and push the other couple off! It was best of 3 and we killed them.. pushed them right off!! They didn't stand a chance against the best couple in the world!!

Here's a good picture- it kindof shows the whole atmosphere! They had the whole area roped off for the competitors, referees watching to see if anyone broke apart and to make sure we completed the events, and notice the other couple in the background showing how you had to keep kissing while others were doing the events! haha it was so fun! This picture doesn't show it, but there was also a huge crowd of people gathered around to watch!

So this was one of the big highlights of Utah State for us.. The Aggie Kissing Decathalon!! We signed up for it the day of just for something fun to do. The game consisted of 10 different "events" that each couple had to do WHILE KISSING the WHOLE time! If your lips broke apart-even between events- you were disqualified from that event. You would get so many points for each event depending on how hard it was! Different events were: sit-ups, push-ups, running, jump-roping, 3-legged race, basketball shooting, football throwing, (a couple others I can't remember) and the final event- jousting! The funny thing is.. WE WON! We didn't break apart the whole time! Brad was so strong! He had to do all the carrying, lifting and throwing while my job was to make sure we held our heads together! (not too hard!) We won free ski passes to Beaver mountain, giftcertificates to eat, and some movie tickets! It was so funny and fun! Our lips were burning afterwards, (like that stopped us from kissing) and I had a little bit of a burn on my face from Brad's whiskers, but we had the funnest time, and hey free stuff!

I thought this was such a funny picture! I have never been drawn before so Brad and I had a cartoonist draw us when we were down at peach days in Brigham City! Brad hates the way his chin is so stretched out, and my mouth is so huge!! I know a cartoon exaggerates, but geeze!! :)

Aggie football games! Sadly not very exciting.. but still fun to go to! Here we are with some of our friends, Bekah, Raquel, and Brian!

My roommate Bekah and I cleaning all of our flip-flops in the sink! We are both flip-flop fanatics and we wear them ALL the time!

Lucky me having a man who works in the Accounting department! We got to go up to the 9th floor of the Business building!

Here's a date we went on and took all my siblings: Jacob, Michaella, Elise, and Hannah! They all love Brad!

What an eventful day! I love my sisters!

So here's a funny story: I was driving with my 3 sisters- Michaella, Elise, and Hannah- to our cousin's wedding. Back then I drove an old what I called "grandma" car, and everything was going just fine, until we started going up Trapper's loop. The car started making a terrible noise and having a hard time going up the hill! I don't know how many times I made circles in the road turning around trying to decide whether or not to try and make it or just go back home. I decided to try and make it. WRONG CHOICE! We made it to the mouth of Weber Canyon and were just about to get on the highway when it died. Just plain 'ol died. And to make things even lovelier, a dead deer lay in the road right in front of our car (making it look like we had hit it!) So luckily I had a cell phone, called Brad, and he was so nice enough to come and rescue us! Here's some funny pictures we took while we were waiting!

My family does an annual charity garage sale and Brad and I decided to dress up! That' all that happened.

Here's Brad with the 2 moose in our path up ahead! They would not move! They just stood there sticking their butts in our face (laughing). We eventually hiked up in the bushes around them!

Hiking Ben Lomond! We saw soooo many moose! It was kinda scary! They were always big bull moose and always in twos standing right in our path!

Brad and I would go running for some of our dates! Crazy, we know! And one time it poured and poured.. and pouring makes mud.. mud gives Camille ideas.. and Camille's ideas can be pretty funny! Yes I started a mud fight! We painted our faces like indians and gave each other indian names (which we still use on each other). Brad's name is: BUGWUG, and mine is: INCACAMILA so if you ever hear these names in future posts, you'll know why.. we're not just being dumb:)

Brad went to London for a month just after we had started dating. (hardest month of my life) His co-workers gave him some funny gifts to help him out while he was there. He put it all together and modeled it for me! I had to snap a picture!

Brad took me skydiving for my birthday! (this is how he won my heart!) Can I just say this is one of the funnest things I have ever done, and if anyone has even had the thought cross through your head, DO IT! It's worth every penny, butterflies in your stomach, scream, and pee in your pants!

Here is the start of our dating years! Warning: some pictures may be quite scary! All I can say is we have a lot of fun, and I am so lucky to have found someone who enjoys making goofy faces as I do!
